Ever had a moment that changed everything?

For Raskol, this moment was when we released our Your Body On Creatine design...2 years ago today.

It was our first “mega” hit. When we released the shirt, it went viral, selling more shirts than the next ten best sellers COMBINED.

Since then, we've sold thousands upon thousands of this tee and its variants (the Tie-Dye longsleeve being also very popular).

This design represented on my part, a complete commitment to truly innovating and bringing next level apparel to the game.

The insight I'd gained being a lifter for over a decade allowed me to delve deep into our shared cultural memes to make something unique. Like most things Raskol, it is layered in meaning.

It plays on the trope of ignorant outsiders that think Creatine is legitimately a drug.

To us its ironic that something so harmless could be seen as being dangerous. So playing up the dangerous aspects (and pretending like it actually gives you superpowers) is hilarious.

It's an in-joke in our community. A sort of middle finger to outsiders and scared Soccer Moms fretting that their kid using Creatine is a gateway to hardcore drugs.

I had created the design because to put it simply, it excited me. It's success opened the floodgates of creativity with Raskol because it showed that there was a (huge) market for being different.

And we haven't looked back since.
